Many progressives hope that liberal politicians like like Bill de Blasio and Elizabeth Warren and organizations like the Working Families Party will push the Democratic Party to the left. This is an old strategy tried by generations of activists and it hasn’t stopped the party from moving every more to the right. Come to a meeting to discuss why those who attempt to change the Democratic Party from the inside usually end up being the ones who get changed.
