the Hunter College branch of the International Socialist Organization presents:
1968: A Rebellion for Our Times
In 1968, the world was turned upside down. From France and Mexico, to the US and the Eastern Bloc, massive uprisings shook the global system to its core. Millions of ordinary people rose up to defy racism, militarism, poverty, and repression – and won important victories from which we continue to benefit to this day. Fifty years later, we have so much to learn from their example. Join us to discuss the lessons of 1968 and how we can stand up to injustice in our own time.
This talk is part of the Socialism Tour 2018, bringing experienced activists and thinkers to cities across the country in the lead-up to this year’s Socialism Conference in Chicago. Register for the conference today! https://socialismconference.org/
Event is open to all, regardless of CUNY affiliation, but please bring some form of ID to check in to the building.
