New date! The Power of Black Feminism: Race, Class & Liberation

February 14, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Should the Left prioritize issues of oppression or should it focus on issues of economic inequality? It’s a debate that should be familiar to anyone on the Left today.

The history of Black feminism and Black women radicals shows how a movement can be built that understands the ways in which the two must be brought together and fused.

Come to a discussion on the history of Black feminism and the lessons for a new generation of activists today.

The meeting will also be the start of a month-long reading group of Angela Davis’s book, “Women, Race, and Class.”
