It’s no surprise that the new rapist-in-chief has gone on the offensive to attack women’s rights. But even before Trump’s election, women have faced discrimination at work, unpaid labor at home, and a society that wants to sexualize and control their bodies.
March 8 is International Women’s Day, a socialist holiday that started with the strikes of immigrant women in the sweatshops of New York City in 1908. This year, women in the U.S. and around the world will be taking action in celebration of the holiday and to build the resistance to Trump and all the others who continue to oppress women and so many others.
Come hear the history of this important day and a socialist perspective on women’s liberation.
